We travelled to the north of Germany to tell the story of the ICE train crash that killed more than a hundred people including many mothers with children, on the 3rd June 1998. The interviews in Eschede covered not only the tragedy itself, but also the national response with the mobilisation of 1800 emergency personnel. Within two hours all the dead and injured had been removed from the wreck.
